The move comes after City Council President Joe LaCava's office found over $390 million losses in cryptocurrency scams throughout the state in 2025, with elderly people more likely to fall victim. The rollout will take place from 2027 with a 'day of action' planned to educate residents and businesses about the red flags of crypto transactions.
