Its Box Stayed on I-5. Its Cab Hung Off the Side and Caught Fire. Neither Man Inside Went to the Hospital
A moving truck's cab hung burning off I-5 in San Diego. One man climbed down toward a bystanders' blanket. Neither man in the truck went to a hospital. A white moving truck was left hanging over Interstate 5 in San Diego’s Mission Hills neighborhood after a crash left it draped across the concrete center divide. The cab was on fire when crews arrived, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue. The California Highway Patrol reported that the driver was ejected into the lanes and a passenger was helped out through a window. The incident occurred shortly after 9:44 a.m. on northbound I-5 near the Washington Street off-ramp. The company's slogan was "We Fit Your Moving Needs" on the side of the truck, matching a federal motor-carrier record for Best Fit Movers. Neither man inside the truck nor the sedan were taken to the hospital. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
