It is with great sorrow that the Flanagan family announces the passing of Dr. David Flanagan, a longtime and beloved resident of Rancho Santa Fe.David was born on July 7, 1938, in Spring Lake, New Jersey, the son of Helen Froehlich Flanagan… Dr. David Flanagan, a longtime resident of Rancho Santa Fe, has passed away at the age of 79. Born in 1938, Flanagan attended Cranwell Preparatory School and continued his medical education at the University of Notre Dame and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He served as Medical Director of a medical center in Brawley, California, which he helped establish and administer, providing care to Mexican farm laborers and their families. Later, he served as the Medical Director at Rachel's Women’s Center in downtown San Diego, where he provided medical care to women experiencing homelessness. Flanagan also co-hosted the annual “Flanagan’�s St. Patrick’S Day Celebration” at Quimby’'s in the Village.
