CSU football revitalized by offense in high-scoring win against San Diego State

The Rocky Mountain Collegian Sports CSU football won 56-49 against San Diego State, breaking a four-game losing streak with a high-scoring victory. The victory was largely attributed to Hauss Hejny's return as the starting quarterback after a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury, where he accumulated 418 scrimmage yards, five total touchdowns, and one interception. Despite defensive issues, CSU's defense managed to prevent SDSU from scoring 50 points for the fourth consecutive game. Despite allowing 49 points and 565 yards to the Aztecs, the Rams' defense managed enough to keep CSU in front for the entire second half. Head coach Jim Mora acknowledged improvement and said the team still has room to improve.
