A motorcyclist died Thursday morning after crashing and being struck by several vehicles on state Route 94 near San Diego’s Oak Park neighborhood, officials said.
The collision happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway just east of Kelton Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The rider died at the scene. His name and age were not immediately available.
Three westbound lanes were closed for several hours while officers investigated the crash.
