The exposure occurred from June 23, 2025, to March 6, 2026. The Sweetwater Union High School District has contacted those at the highest risk of infection and will offer free TB blood testing at the school in the first week of November. This is the fourth time a person associated with the school has been diagnosed with active TB over the last two years. The county will also bring a vehicle to the school to take chest X-rays for those with no symptoms but positive test results. Approximately 175,000 individuals have latent TB infection in San Diego County and may develop active TB if not addressed.
