High and low: Sounders concede late to drop points
Sounders played well at times but were undone by some mistakes. The Seattle Sounders gave up a two-goal lead to draw 2–2 against San Diego FC on the road. Dejan Joveljić and Sebastian Gomez scored early goals, but Cedric Bakambu scored twice to level the score at 2-2. The game was marked by several defensive plays by Kalani Kossa-Rienzi and a review for a penalty in the 57th minute due to Alex Roldan sliding in on the play, which was awarded after a review. The Sounders managed to secure a point against a struggling 12th place San Diego. The team now plans to face Houston Dynamo at Lumen Field.
